posts and musings from life on the road

Thank you thank you!

Thank you thank you!

Thank you to all of our loyal fans and supporters who came out to see us live over the last few weeks. We really appreciate the support and feedback, and thank you for the kind words that have been provided on the new material.

We’ve got a couple of weeks “rest” before we prepare ourselves for entering into the recording studio. This gives us some time to refine and tweak the songs that we feel certain will get recorded.

Keep smiling and keep rocking.

Chuck.

Gig cancellation

Bad news everybody!

Tomorrow night’s gig at The Bucket of Eels has had to be cancelled. We apologise for the short notice, but this is totally beyond our control. It would seem that they failed to apply for a live performance licence!

We will look to see if we can include it on any future round of gigs.

Onwards and upwards.

Chuck.

Squad rotation

Hi gang.

The observant among you (who have seen us on this tour) will have noted the absence of keyboards. This has not been a deliberate policy of keeping it “heavy”, but more to do with the fact that Dave has actually been away for the last few weeks. He’s been over in the US doing mixing desk/production work for someone whom we are not allowed to name! Anyway, he is hoping to be back in the UK for our 2 gigs in May.

Rest-assured that “Keys and things” do feature in our new album!

In other “squad” news, Jesus is standing down for the remainder of the tour citing “exhaustion” (Manflu?). Fortunately for us, the ever capable and ever-ready Johnny Westinghouse has been called-up as a substitute.

Move-along now, there is nothing more to see.

Running order change

Hi all.

Firstly, once again I have to tip my hat to all of you who have come out to see us on this tour so far. It’s been really encouraging to see your reaction to the new material we have aired thus far.

For the next few dates we are mixing up the running order a bit, and will be swapping out a couple of the new tracks for other new ones that have not yet been let loose in public. So if you have already seen us on tour so far and are planning to come along to another night, you’ll be treated to a slightly different setlist.

Keep smiling, keep rocking.

Chuck

Woah!

Wowzers!

A big thank you to all of you who turned out on the first 2 nights of the tour. We were stunned by the reception we got on the first night, and simply blown away by you crazy people last night.

Thank you all for the greetings of support and cheer, even when we royally fucked up one of the songs and had to start again! All part of bedding-in the new material I guess.

Tonight’s gig at the Slug and Lobster in Dukinfield is being brought forward by an hour – so we will be onstage at 8pm. This is because of a Council-imposed local area curfew, meaning the pub has to be empty and shut by 11:15pm. This means that Nancy will not be doing a warm-up for us tonight, sorry to the Nancy Killjoy Band fans out there.

Macca on the mix-desk has told us that he was mobbed last night for the set-list details. Guys, sorry, but for now the set-list is strictly “eyes only” until we have fixed the track titles.

Anyway, thanks again for the support, and keep rocking.
